On your Zurich–Singapore–Johannesburg–Cape Town journey, we serve complimentary meals in all cabins, designed around the duration and timing of each sector. You can expect full meal services on the long-haul sectors, with additional refreshments and drinks offered throughout your flight.

Special Meals

Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, we serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. You can also enjoy our signature Singapore Sling on board, along with a selection of other alcoholic beverages.

For Zurich–Cape Town itineraries, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers may check 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Zurich to Cape Town once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Zurich–Singapore and Singapore–Johannesburg–Cape Town sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, providing comfortable legroom for long flights. Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch seat pitch and up to 20 inches of width, with enhanced recline.

In Business Class on these sectors, you can enjoy a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat, giving you ample personal space to work or rest. On the Zurich–Singapore sector, First Class also features a fully flat bed with generous space and storage around your seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible passengers may be invited to The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Layover Duration: Your connections in Singapore and Johannesburg must each be less than 24 hours. If any layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.
