Singapore Airlines PPS Club Reserves presents Champagne Masterclass with Charles Heidsieck

Singapore Airlines PPS Club Reserves is thrilled to bring you an exclusive champagne masterclass led by Mr Stephen Leroux, Managing Director of Charles Heidsieck.

This exclusive champagne tasting event will feature four different vintages within the Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires label from the 6th generation family-owned wine maker, Heidsieck Family. These exquisite champagnes are produced out of the family's 75 hectares of vineyards, with a small production giving rise to the highly exclusive bottles. The Charles Heidsieck Cellar Masters are one of the most recognised in the industry, which, over the last two decades, have been named “Best Sparkling Winemaker of the Year” no fewer than 12 times by the International Wine Challenge (IWC), United Kingdom’s leading wine competition. Over the 10 past years, the House has received more than 180 Gold Medals and some 32 Trophies.

During this exclusive masterclass, get acquainted with Mr Leroux and hear firsthand stories from his over 25 years of experience in the sparkling wine industry.

About the Speaker – Mr Stephen Leroux

Born in Glasgow in 1966 from a French father (Leroux) and Scottish mother (Mc Carroll Mac Gregor), Stephen was brought up in Champagne from 1967 onwards. One of his great grandfathers was a Champagne Négociant in Barsur Aube until the early 1930s (Champagne Van der Gucht). Another one created Chicorée Leroux, one of the most historical patrimonial French agro industry companies, famous for sponsoring the Tour de France in at the dawn of the 20th century.

Leroux studied business and finance in Paris and started a career in corporate banking with HSBC France for 2 years. He then joined a Champagne region based large wheat cooperative business as a reporting financial controller, before working in the development of a branded French artisanal bakery concept within the same group.

An opportunity arose in the Champagne sector in 1997 and Stephen never left the industry since. After various responsibilities in sales and marketing within some of the industry big names (Vranken, Bollinger, Louis Roederer), he was called late 2012 by the EPI Group family business to take the reins of the recently acquired Charles Heidsieck, in a capacity of Executive Director. Stephen was made CEO of the Charles Heidsieck House in 2022.

Singapore Airlines (“SIA”) is pleased to offer eligible PPS Club members an opportunity to redeem 45,000 KrisFlyer miles to participate in a Champagne Masterclass (the “Experience”) on the terms and conditions herein. The Experience must be redeemed in full using KrisFlyer miles.

  1. The details and specific terms and conditions of the Experience are as follows:

Number of participants:

The experience shall have a maximum capacity of thirty (60) participants (“Participant”) and is subject to any adjustments based on safety and regulatory guidelines as communicated by the relevant authorities, and in any event to be agreed between SIA and Piper Heidsieck Charles Heidsieck (“PHCH”).

Experience Details:

Participants will be hosted by a senior speaker from PHCH. There will be a selection of the following Champagnes for the Masterclass:

  2. Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires 2007
  3. Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires 2004
  4. Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires 1996
  1. To be eligible for the Experience, a PPS Club member must fulfil the following criteria:
    1. be a direct recipient of the electronic direct mailer (“eDM”) sent by SIA titled “Join us for a Champagne Masterclass with Charles Heidsieck”; and
    2. have a balance of at least 45,000 KrisFlyer miles in his/her KrisFlyer membership account on the date of registration.
  2. PPS Club members who wish to participate in the Experience are invited to indicate their interest via this link or by provide required information to PPSClub_Reserves@singaporeair.com.sg. The required information is as follows:
    1. their PPS Club membership number; and
    2. the names and contact numbers of the proposed Participants.
  3. Registrations for the Experience will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed one week prior to the respective event date or when it is fully subscribed, whichever is earlier.
  4. Successfully registered PPS Club members will receive a confirmation email after the deduction of the applicable KrisFlyer miles.
  5. Once the confirmation email has been sent out by the PPS Club Reserves team, save as otherwise expressly set out in these terms and conditions, there would be strictly no refund or recharge of the redeemed KrisFlyer miles will be provided.
  6. All Participants are to adhere to all prevailing and applicable safety and regulatory guidelines as may be communicated by the relevant authorities and/or SIA. Participants agree to comply with and adhere to all relevant requirements pursuant to any prevailing and applicable requirements as may be communicated by the relevant authorities and/or SIA when attending the Experience.
  7. In the event a Participant that has registered for the Experience is unable to attend the Experience due to testing positive for COVID-19, such Participant shall not attend the Experience and SIA is not obliged to reschedule the Experience for the benefit of such Participant.
  8. While SIA shall take the necessary steps and precautions in accordance with prevailing safety and regulatory guidelines, participants of the Experience acknowledge that they are attending the Experience at their own risk. SIA is not liable to the participants in case any of the participants test positive for COVID-19 following the Experience.
  9. SIA is not liable to the Participants for any loss, damage, death, injury, disability and any loss or damage to property or person from any cause in connection with the Experience and related activities.
  10. In the event that the Experience cannot proceed at the specified date due to circumstances arising from or related to COVID-19, SIA reserves the right to reschedule the Experience to a later date. Members who are unable to attend the Experience on the rescheduled date will have their corresponding KrisFlyer Miles credited back into their KrisFlyer membership account.
  11. Unless otherwise specified, SIA will not be responsible for and will not bear any and all expenses and ancillary costs which may be incurred by PPS Club member(s) and/or Participants in connection with the Experience.
  12. By registering for and/or participating in the Experience, eligible PPS Club members and/or Participants agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, no claim relating to any losses or injuries (including but not limited to special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against SIA, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and all of its respective agents, servants, contractors, directors, employees, for any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from the Experience, including without limitation, bodily injuries, death and property damage.
  13. SIA will not be liable or responsible for any separate experiences and/or promotions, including any disputes that may arise in relation to the same that may be offered by PHCH during the Experience.
  14. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the eligible PPS Club member and/or Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless SIA, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and all of its respective directors, employees, servants, agents and contractors (“Indemnified Parties”) from and against all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses of whatever nature arising out of, in connection with, or due to the Participants’ participation in the Experience, the use of any information or material supplied by the Participants to the Indemnified Parties, the Participants’ withdrawal from the Experience for any reasons, or any act or omission of the Participants.
  15. Conditions of use for the websitePrivacy PolicyCookie Policy, and PPS Club/KrisFlyer terms and conditions shall apply.
  16. SIA may capture photographs, audio, video, and other recordings (“Recordings”) of the Participants in the course of the Experience. By registering for and/or participating in the Experience, eligible PPS Club members and/or Participants consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and other processing (collectively, “Process” or “Processing”) of such Recordings for commercial and/or publicity purposes across all media, including but not limited to, SIA's publications, and websites. Eligible PPS Club members and/or Participants may object to Processing of Recordings of them or their child by contacting PPS Club Events team at PPSClub_Events@singaporeair.com.sg or informing a member of SIA’s staff at the Experience. Such consent by eligible PPS Club members and/or Participants also constitutes agreement that the Recordings in their original or edited format may be Processed as described above without further notification, remuneration or compensation, and that copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Recordings shall vest solely and absolutely in SIA.
  17. By registering for and/or participating in the Experience, eligible PPS Club members and/or the Participants consent that SIA may Process their personal data for the purposes of the Experience as detailed in these terms and conditions and in accordance with the SIA Privacy Policy, and undertake that a parent or guardian of the participating child has been notified of and consents to the same on behalf of the child. If you provide us with any personal data relating to a third party (e.g. your guest), by submitting such information to us, you represent to us that you have obtained the consent of such third party to you providing us with their personal data for the relevant purposes set out herein.
  18. SIA reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or terminate the Experience without prior notice.
  19. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Experience, these terms and conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  20. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (2001) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
  21. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
