Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Penang segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Adelaide and Penang, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances on top of the standard limits.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic web browsing. It does not support high-bandwidth activities such as video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend planning around these before or after your flight.

On both the Adelaide–Singapore and Singapore–Penang sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, designed for comfort on medium and short-haul flights. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on these services, allowing you to rest or work with ease throughout the journey.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible passengers may have access to facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport, depending on their cabin class and membership status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Adelaide but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have several hours in Singapore, you can join one of Singapore Changi Airport's complimentary transit tours, which typically require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. These tours allow you to see key highlights of the city before returning in time for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside at Changi Airport is very comfortable. You can explore themed gardens, rest in quiet zones, visit a swimming pool or cinema in selected terminals, or simply enjoy a meal and a walk to stretch your legs between flights.

Adelaide operates on Australian Central Standard Time (UTC+9:30), switching to Australian Central Daylight Time (UTC+10:30) roughly from October to early April. Penang uses Malaysia Time (UTC+8) year-round. This means Penang is 1.5 hours behind Adelaide in winter, and 2.5 hours behind during Adelaide's daylight saving period.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Penang International Airport when flying from Adelaide via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Adelaide–Singapore and Singapore–Penang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Penang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
