For flights between Colombo and Fukuoka, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Economy Class Lite and Value fares, 30kg for Economy Class Standard and Flexi fares, and 40kg for Business Class. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are 1 piece up to 7kg for Economy Class, and 2 pieces each up to 7kg for Business Class. Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Colombo to Fukuoka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Fukuoka sectors, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on both aircraft types.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. Eligible customers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore (SIN).

If your layover at Singapore Changi Airport is long enough, you can join one of the official free transit tours into the city, which usually require a minimum of around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. For shorter connections, you can relax in the airport's themed gardens, rest areas, and family zones, or explore dining and retail options spread across the terminals. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Colombo operates on Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Fukuoka follows Japan Standard Time, which is UTC+9:00 and also does not use daylight saving time. Fukuoka is therefore 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Fukuoka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Fukuoka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
