For flights between Fukuoka and Medan, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance applicable to your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Fukuoka to Medan once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing. It does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend downloading any heavy content before you travel.

Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge when departing Singapore.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Fukuoka but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers an official transit tour programme, which you can join if your layover meets the minimum connection time, usually around 5.5 to 6 hours. This lets you briefly experience highlights of the city before returning for your onward flight.

If your layover is shorter, you can stay airside and enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly facilities. Selected terminals also feature entertainment zones, play areas, and quiet corners where you can refresh between sectors.

Fukuoka follows Japan Standard Time (UTC+9) all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7), also without daylight saving. This means Medan is 2 hours behind Fukuoka throughout the year; for example, 12.00 noon in Fukuoka is 10.00am in Medan.
