For flights between Fukuoka and Penang, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may bring 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Fukuoka to Penang once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Fukuoka–Singapore and Singapore–Penang sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for regional travel. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be able to access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin class and frequent flyer status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Fukuoka but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a complimentary transit tour programme for passengers with longer layovers, typically requiring at least around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. If you qualify, you can enjoy a short glimpse of the city before returning in time for your onward flight.

If you prefer to stay airside or have a shorter layover, you can relax in themed gardens, rest zones, and seating areas across the terminals. There are also showers, play areas, and a wide choice of dining options to help you refresh.

For longer connections, you may wish to visit an airport hotel or explore attractions within the airport precinct, always allowing enough time for security checks and boarding. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Fukuoka follows Japan Standard Time (UTC+9) and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8), also without daylight saving time. This means Penang is 1 hour behind Fukuoka throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Fukuoka, it is 11.00am in Penang.
