For flights between Kolkata and Kuala Lumpur, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, including those travelling in Economy Class, provided your membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is designed for messaging, email, and basic browsing, and does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Eligible passengers may be able to use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge during their transit, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kolkata but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining the official free city tour, which typically requires at least 5.5 to 6 hours of transit time. This lets you see highlights of Singapore before returning to the airport for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable, with themed gardens, quiet rest zones, play areas, and even a swimming pool available in selected terminals. There are also many dining outlets, shower facilities, and relaxation corners to help you feel refreshed.
