Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages where permitted. Our signature Singapore Sling cocktail is also available on board.

For flights between Bengaluru and Hangzhou, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg) where available on the Bengaluru–Singapore sector, and Business Class (40kg). Suites and First Class are not offered on this route. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Bengaluru–Hangzhou services via Singapore once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Bengaluru–Singapore and Singapore–Hangzhou Airbus A350-900 sectors, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width. Premium Economy Class, available on some Bengaluru–Singapore flights, offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width. Business Class on all sectors features a fully flat bed with every seat providing direct aisle access.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Bengaluru but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, subject to their travel class and membership status.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy lush indoor gardens, themed zones, play areas, and quiet spaces ideal for resting between flights. For shorter connections, staying airside gives you easy access to dining, shopping, and relaxation areas close to your gate. On longer layovers, you may have enough time to join one of the airport’s official city tour programmes, which typically require several hours between flights and allow you to see highlights of Singapore before returning to the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Bengaluru follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Hangzhou follows China Standard Time (CST), which is UTC+8 and also does not change throughout the year. Hangzhou is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Bengaluru at all times.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport when flying from Bengaluru via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Bengaluru–Singapore and Singapore–Hangzhou) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Hangzhou is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
