For flights between Kathmandu and Osaka, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is confirmed on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on this route. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Kathmandu to Singapore and Singapore to Osaka sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable space for your journey. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on the Boeing 787-10, and a spacious reclining seat on the Boeing 737-8 MAX designed for work or rest.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kathmandu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. For longer connections, you can join a free official transit tour into the city if you meet the minimum layover time, or simply enjoy the airport’s themed gardens, art installations, and relaxation zones.

If you prefer to stay airside, there are quiet rest areas, shower facilities, playgrounds, and a wide selection of dining and retail options across the terminals. Airport hotels and nap spaces can also provide a place to refresh between flights.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Kathmandu–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Osaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
