Upgrade to Elite Gold
All it takes is 50,000 Elite miles, earned within 12 consecutive months, to get to KrisFlyer Elite Gold. You will be upgraded as soon as you reach it* and your membership will last until the end of the 12th month.
Earn 50,000 Elite miles during this time and you’ll have Elite Gold for another year.
UPDATE: All KrisFlyer Elite Gold statuses will be renewed for another 12 months at the end of their membership year. This applies to all memberships expiring from March 2020 through to February 2021. Click here for details.
*At the point of Elite Gold qualification, any Elite miles in excess of the 50,000 required for qualification will not count towards tier renewal
All about Elite miles
Earn Elite miles, which are used to track you towards Elite Silver and Elite Gold status, when you fly with Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Star Alliance airlines, selected Star Alliance Connecting Partner airline*, and selected other airline partners^.
The Elite miles you accumulate when you fly with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir may also earn you Elite Gold Rewards.
* Only applicable for flights on Juneyao Air.
^ Only applicable for Virgin Atlantic-operated flights on non-transatlantic routes.
Only applicable for Singapore Airlines codeshare flights operated by Virgin Australia within Australia, Trans-Tasman, and between Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Only applicable for Singapore Airlines codeshare flights operated by Vistara within India.
Not applicable for flights on Alaska Airlines, jetBlue, Olympic Air and Scoot.
Elite miles are derived from the actual miles flown, plus any applicable booking class bonuses earned on tickets that are eligible to earn miles. Elite miles cannot be used for award flights, upgrade awards or purchase of airfares.
The number of Elite miles you earn on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir depends on the booking class you fly. The earning rates vary and some booking classes, such as G on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, won't earn you miles.

For mix miles and cash bookings, the number of KrisFlyer miles, Elite miles and PPS Value you earn will be in proportion to the fare that you've paid with your credit/debit card (excluding taxes). If the full fare is paid with KrisFlyer miles, no KrisFlyer miles, Elite miles and PPS Value will be earned. More in FAQs.
Tier bonuses and promotional bonuses do not count as Elite miles. Elite miles will not be earned if you do not credit your miles to a KrisFlyer account or if the flight is on a non-mileage accruable fare.
