Singapore Airlines’ Muslim meals on flights departing Singapore are prepared in a Halal-certified kitchen, with ingredients sourced from Halal-certified suppliers.
For flights departing outside Singapore, Muslim meals are prepared without pork, lard, pig by-products, or alcohol. Singapore Airlines is committed to working with its overseas caterers to source for Halal-certified meat and poultry products, where operationally feasible in those destinations.
We offer a Minimal Allergen Meal (MAMLA), which does not contain gluten, eggs, dairy, crustaceans, fish, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, pecans and macadamias) and their derivatives. These meals are available on all flights departing from Singapore, and selected flights flying to Singapore.
If the Minimal Allergen Meal is suitable for your dietary restriction, you may request for it via Manage Booking.
While we make every effort to accommodate to your dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee that our special meals are free from all traces of allergens. This is due to environmental factors such as the preparation of food in shared kitchen facilities and potential exposure to allergens within the cabin environment.
Customers with allergies are advised to take appropriate precautions in accordance with advice from medical professionals. This may include carrying any necessary allergy medication with them on board.
You may also choose to bring your own food on board. We recommend bringing food that does not require chilling or heating due to operational restrictions. Please note that the standard restrictions on liquids will apply i.e. liquids should be carried in containers of not more than 100ml, carried in a clear, re-sealable plastic bag, and the total volume of the bag must not exceed 1 litre.
If you have a multi segment trip, you may have to check the different applicable quarantine laws before departure, as some countries may not allow certain types of food to be carried in transit.
We offer a Non-Strict Nut-Free Meal (NFMLA) which does not contain peanuts and tree nuts (including almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, pecans and macadamias), and their derivatives. Please note that the meal may still contain traces of nuts due to environmental factors, such as the preparation of the meal in shared kitchen facilities and potential exposure to allergens within the cabin environment. Customers with nut allergies are advised to take all necessary precautions in line with advice from medical professionals. This may include carrying any necessary allergy medication with them on board. If you have a nut allergy, please visit this page for more information.
