For flights between Munich and Christchurch, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite/Value fares, 30kg on Standard/Flexi), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on the Munich–Singapore and Singapore–Christchurch sectors once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, with Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members needing to add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Munich–Singapore and Singapore–Christchurch Airbus A350-900 sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Premium Economy Class provides around 38 inches of pitch with up to 20 inches of width. Business Class features a fully flat bed with every seat offering direct aisle access.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Munich but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible travellers can use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy extensive airside facilities, including themed gardens, quiet rest zones, and a wide range of shops and dining options. For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may consider joining one of the airport’s free transit tours into the city, subject to the latest operating schedules and entry requirements. Shorter connections are comfortably spent airside, where you can stretch your legs, refresh, or simply relax between flights. Munich operates on Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) roughly from late March to late October. Christchurch follows New Zealand Standard Time (UTC+12) and New Zealand Daylight Time (UTC+13) from late September to early April. This means Christchurch is usually 11 hours ahead of Munich in the northern summer, and up to 12 or 13 hours ahead in other months, depending on overlapping daylight saving changes.
