For Taipei–Phuket journeys, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class customers enjoy 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket sectors in Economy Class, you can expect a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, depending on the specific aircraft layout. This offers a comfortable amount of personal space for the regional journey.

In Business Class on both sectors, you enjoy a fully flat bed with generous width and direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-10, and a lie-flat or near lie-flat experience with ample space on the Boeing 737-8 MAX, designed for privacy and easy movement.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, according to their class of travel and membership status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and art installations to quiet rest areas and transit hotels. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may be able to join an official transit tour of Singapore for a short introduction to the city.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy amenities such as indoor gardens, play areas, and relaxation zones, or simply walk the terminals to stretch your legs. Showers and spa facilities are also available in selected areas for a quick refresh.

Taipei operates on Taiwan Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Phuket follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) and also does not change clocks seasonally. This means Phuket is 1 hour behind Taipei throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phuket is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
