For flights between Xiamen and Fukuoka, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares; Business Class passengers may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Xiamen to Fukuoka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Xiamen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable layovers, with themed gardens, rest areas, and entertainment options across its terminals. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you can consider joining an official transit tour to see highlights of the city before returning to the airport.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and explore facilities such as indoor gardens, relaxation zones, walking trails, and a wide range of dining options. Some terminals also offer play areas and quiet corners where you can sit back between flights.

If you prefer extra rest, you may wish to book an airport hotel or transit hotel for a few hours, subject to availability. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Xiamen follows China Standard Time, which is UTC+8 all year round. Fukuoka follows Japan Standard Time, which is also UTC+9 all year round. This means Fukuoka is 1 hour ahead of Xiamen throughout the year, with no daylight saving adjustments in either city.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Fukuoka Airport when flying from Xiamen via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Fukuoka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Fukuoka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Xiamen–Fukuoka trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
