For flights between Bangkok and Yangon, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services from Bangkok to Yangon once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Bangkok but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. Eligible customers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore (SIN).

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for both short and longer layovers, including indoor gardens, rest zones, entertainment areas, and a wide choice of dining. With a longer transit time, you may join an official free city tour, which typically requires a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. For shorter connections, staying airside allows you to enjoy the airport’s amenities, freshen up, or relax in quiet seating areas. Bangkok follows Asia/Bangkok time (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Yangon follows Asia/Rangoon time (UTC+6:30), also without daylight saving. Yangon is 30 minutes behind Bangkok throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Bangkok, it is 11.30am in Yangon.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Bangkok–Singapore and Singapore–Yangon) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Yangon is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
