For flights between Da Nang and Medan, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on selected aircraft on the Da Nang–Singapore–Medan route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class travellers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members and additional usage. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Da Nang–Singapore and Singapore–Medan sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed on long-haul aircraft and generous recline with enhanced space on the Boeing 737-8 MAX, together with direct aisle access on many of our aircraft types.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible customers may be able to access facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport, subject to operating hours and capacity.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Da Nang but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities, from themed gardens and art installations to rest areas, play zones, and quiet corners ideal for a short break between flights. With a modest layover, you can enjoy these airside attractions, browse shops, or relax at a café or restaurant.

For longer layovers of around 5.5 hours or more, you can consider joining an official transit tour into the city, subject to immigration requirements and tour availability. This gives you a brief introduction to Singapore’s skyline, waterfront, and key districts before returning to the airport.

If you prefer to stay within the terminal, airport hotels, nap zones, and shower facilities help you refresh and reset before your next sector. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Da Nang follows Indochina Time (ICT), which is UTC+7 and does not observe daylight saving time. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time (WIB), which is also UTC+7 with no daylight saving time. This means there is no time difference between Da Nang and Medan throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Da Nang–Singapore and Singapore–Medan) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Medan is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
