For flights between Hanoi and Colombo, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Economy Class Lite and Value fares, 30kg for Economy Class Standard and Flexi fares, 40kg for Business Class, and each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are 1 piece up to 7kg for Economy Class, and 2 pieces each up to 7kg for Business Class. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Hanoi to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Business Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members, and the connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Hanoi but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. Eligible customers may use lounges such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore (SIN).

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, art installations, rest areas, and a wide choice of dining options without leaving the terminal. For longer connections of at least 5.5 hours, you may consider the official free city tours, subject to eligibility and operating hours. Shorter layovers can be spent exploring the airport's attractions, including indoor greenery, play areas, and quiet zones for relaxation or work. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Hanoi follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30) and also does not change throughout the year. Colombo is 1 hour 30 minutes behind Hanoi at all times.

For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Colombo is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
