For flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite/Value fares: 25kg; Standard/Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class where available (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Ho Chi Minh City–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo sectors, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width. Eligible passengers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

The Next Segment Rule
Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Ho Chi Minh City but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of attractions, including themed gardens, art installations, rest areas, and play zones, making shorter layovers comfortable and varied. With a layover of at least about 5.5 to 6 hours, you may also consider joining an official free transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and schedules. If you prefer to stay airside, you can enjoy amenities such as quiet zones, shower facilities, and indoor greenery across the terminals. Ho Chi Minh City follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving. Colombo is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes behind Ho Chi Minh City throughout the year.
