Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board.

For flights between Taipei and Colombo, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services from Taipei to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey. Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-10, giving you ample personal space to work, dine, and rest.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join an official transit tour into the city when available, which typically requires a minimum layover time of around 5.5 to 6 hours. This gives you a brief introduction to Singapore’s skyline, waterfront, and key landmarks. For shorter layovers, it is best to stay airside and enjoy the airport’s attractions. Changi Airport offers themed gardens, rest zones, children’s play areas, and art installations across its terminals. You can also refresh at shower facilities or an airport hotel if you would like more privacy and rest. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Taipei follows Taiwan Standard Time (UTC+8) all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving time. Colombo is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Taipei throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo) when flying from Taipei via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Colombo is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Taipei–Colombo trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
