For Zurich to Medan flights, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg for Lite and Value fares, 30kg for Standard and Flexi), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg in weight.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class guests may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, though Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a longer layover, you can consider joining an official airport transit tour into the city, which typically requires several hours between flights.

When departing from Zurich Airport on your Singapore Airlines flight, eligible customers may be invited to use designated partner lounges such as the Senator Lounge E or the SWISS Business Lounge E in the E gates area. Access depends on your class of travel and frequent flyer status, as shown on your boarding pass.

From Zurich, you will connect via Singapore and arrive at Kualanamu International Airport, the main airport serving Medan and the wider North Sumatra region. From there, you can continue by road or domestic flights to other parts of Sumatra.
