Extra check-in baggage allowance
You can check in an extra 20kg (44 pounds) when you fly with Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Virgin Atlantic, and Star Alliance.^
The piece concept applies to and from North and South America. This means you can check in three bags of up to 32kg each in Business Class, First Class and Singapore Airlines Suites. In Economy Class, you can check in three bags of up to 23kg each to the USA, and 32kg each to Brazil.
On Virgin Australia*, check in an extra bag of up to 32kg for Business or Premium Economy Class passengers, and up to 23kg for Economy Class passengers, on domestic and short-haul international flights. On long-haul international flights, check in one extra bag when flying to the USA or an extra 15kg when flying anywhere else.

^You can check in luggage with a maximum weight limit of up to 32kg per piece, when you travel with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, starting from 1 November 2015. Priority airport check-in
When you fly with Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Star Alliance, Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Australia, get priority service at specially designated check-in counters which feature the KrisFlyer Elite Gold or Star Alliance logo, where available.
You’ll be invited to board the plane before other passengers, even when you travel in Premium Economy Class or Economy Class.
Priority baggage handling
Your baggage will be given priority handling, even when you travel in Economy Class.
