Singapore Airlines proudly celebrates 50 years of service to Korea. Since our inaugural flight from Gimpo International Airport on 19 August 1975, we have served as a cultural and economic bridge, connecting Korea with Singapore and the world.
Over the decades, we have steadily expanded our network and frequencies. Today, we operate 28 weekly flights on the Incheon–Singapore route and four weekly flights on the Busan–Singapore route. Across the Singapore Airlines Group, our network spans 125 cities in 37 countries. In response to growing demand, the Busan–Singapore service will become daily from 25 January 2026, further enhancing access for southeastern Korea, including Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam‑do.
On 19 August, we launched the Gimpo–Singapore service with a Boeing 707, via Taipei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
Introduced nonstop Seoul–Singapore flights, strengthening exchange and cooperation between Korea and Singapore.
Began daily Seoul–Singapore services and introduced KrisWorld, a cutting‑edge in‑flight entertainment system, across all cabins.
Formed the International Culinary Panel (ICP) of world‑renowned chefs and launched 'Book The Cook', a premium pre‑order dining service.
Increased Seoul–Singapore frequency to four daily flights, providing easier access to our global network.
Collaborated with Michelin-starred Korean chef Yim Jung Sik to introduce exclusive Korean menus such as braised codfish and sesame oil bibimbap.
Launched KrisPay—the industry’s first blockchain‑powered program and the precursor to the Kris+ lifestyle rewards app.
Deployed Airbus A350‑900 and Boeing 787‑10 aircraft on Seoul routes. Commenced regular Busan–Singapore services and opened the new SilverKris Lounge at Incheon International Airport.
Became the first full‑service carrier to offer unlimited free in‑flight Wi‑Fi for all passengers across all cabins.
