Extra check-in baggage allowance
You can check in an extra 20kg (44 pounds) when you fly with Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Star Alliance^ or a Star Alliance Connecting Partner~, and an extra 10kg (22 pounds) when you fly with Vistara#.
The piece concept applies to and from the USA only. You will be entitled to check in an extra piece of baggage. This means you can check in three bags of up to 32kg in Singapore Airlines Suites, First, and Business Class. In Premium Economy and Economy Class, you can check in three bags of up to 23kg each. On Virgin Australia*, check in an extra bag of up to 32kg for Business Class passengers, and up to 23kg for Economy Class passengers, on domestic and short-haul international flights.
