For flights between Chengdu and Bangkok, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is printed on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Chengdu to Bangkok once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Bangkok sectors operated by the Boeing 787-10, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, providing good comfort for regional journeys. Eligible passengers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore (SIN), depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chengdu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transits, with themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and abundant dining options in every terminal. For shorter layovers, you can stay airside, enjoy the airport’s attractions, and freshen up at rest zones or transit hotels.

With a longer connection of at least 5.5–6 hours, you may be able to join the official city tour programme, allowing you to see highlights of Singapore before returning for your onward flight. Always check eligibility and timing with airport staff upon arrival.

Chengdu follows China Standard Time (CST), which is UTC+8 all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Bangkok follows Indochina Time (ICT), which is UTC+7 and also does not change during the year. Bangkok is therefore 1 hour behind Chengdu throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Bangkok) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Bangkok is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
