For flights between Kolkata and Chengdu, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Kolkata–Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector and the Singapore–Chengdu Boeing 787-10 sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kolkata but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be invited to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of amenities, including indoor gardens, quiet resting areas, play zones, and art installations that make even short layovers comfortable. For longer connections, you can explore additional facilities such as cinemas, themed zones, and transit hotels located within the terminals. If your layover meets the minimum time required, you can also consider joining an official city tour operated from the airport, allowing you to see highlights of Singapore before returning for your onward flight. Kolkata follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Chengdu follows China Standard Time (CST), which is UTC+8:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Chengdu is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Kolkata throughout the year.

For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
