Checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Economy Class Lite and Value fares and 30kg for Economy Class Standard and Flexi fares, 40kg for Business Class. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are 1 piece up to 7kg for Economy Class and 2 pieces, each up to 7kg, for Business Class. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Medan to Penang once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Medan but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

For longer connections, you can consider the official free city tour, which typically requires a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours and includes immigration clearance.
