Our signature Singapore Sling is also served on board for those who would like a classic taste of our heritage. Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Penang segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Hyderabad and Penang, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase convenient Wi-Fi plans during the flight. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Hyderabad–Singapore and Singapore–Penang sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing a comfortable amount of legroom for the journey. At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Hyderabad but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If your layover in Singapore is at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining one of Singapore Changi Airport's free transit tour programmes, which showcase highlights of the city without the need to manage your own arrangements. For shorter layovers, it is best to stay airside and enjoy the airport's many facilities.

Within the terminals, you will find indoor gardens, themed rest zones, and play areas, as well as snooze zones and transit hotels if you wish to rest in privacy. There are also showers, spa services, and a wide range of dining outlets so you can refresh and refuel.

Hyderabad follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time (MYT), which is UTC+8:00, also without daylight saving. Penang is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Hyderabad throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Hyderabad–Singapore and Singapore–Penang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.
