For flights between Yangon and Chennai, our weight concept applies for checked baggage. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg, and Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. In Premium Economy Class, the allowance is 35kg. In Business Class, the allowance is 40kg, and in Suites or First Class it is 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Suites, First Class, and Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Yangon to Chennai once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Yangon but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

For a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, art installations, quiet rest areas, and a wide range of dining choices within the terminals. With a longer connection, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, usually requiring at least 5.5 to 6 hours of available time. Shorter layovers are well spent exploring the airport’s indoor greenery, play areas, and relaxation zones, or simply unwinding at your gate with refreshments. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Chennai is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
