Beverage Service
A selection of hot and cold drinks is served throughout the flight, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, so you can enjoy a classic taste of Singapore during your journey.

For Yangon–Kochi flights, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on selected Singapore Airlines aircraft once we are above 10,000 feet on the Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi sectors. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is designed for messaging, email, and basic browsing, and does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. In Business Class, you will enjoy a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access from each seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Yangon but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and a wide selection of dining and shopping options during your layover. For shorter connections, staying airside lets you explore attractions such as indoor greenery, play zones, and comfortable seating areas.

If you have a longer layover of around 5.5 hours or more, you may be able to join an official transit tour of the city, subject to the programme schedule and immigration requirements. Alternatively, airport hotels and pay-per-use lounges offer spaces to rest, freshen up, or work in a quieter environment.

Yangon follows Myanmar Time (UTC+6:30) and does not observe daylight saving time. Kochi follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving. Kochi is typically 1 hour behind Yangon throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Yangon, it is 11.00am in Kochi.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Cochin International Airport when flying from Yangon via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kochi is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Yangon–Kochi trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
