For flights between Jakarta and Manila, our baggage policy is based on the weight concept. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class on the Jakarta–Singapore sector includes 35kg of checked baggage. Business Class includes 40kg of checked baggage, and First Class on selected Jakarta–Singapore flights includes 50kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Jakarta–Singapore and Singapore–Manila sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing good comfort for regional flights. Premium Economy Class, available on selected Jakarta–Singapore services, offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width with extra recline. Business Class on all sectors features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat. First Class, available on selected Boeing 777-300ER services between Jakarta and Singapore, offers a spacious fully flat bed and enhanced privacy.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be invited to lounges such as The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

The Next Segment Rule
Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Jakarta but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

With at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may be able to join an official city tour, allowing you to see key sights before returning in time for your onward flight. For shorter layovers, stay airside and enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and indoor attractions such as play zones and viewing decks. Airport hotels and snooze zones offer additional comfort if you would like to rest or freshen up between sectors. Jakarta follows Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7 and does not observe daylight saving time. Manila follows Philippine Time, which is UTC+8 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Manila is therefore 1 hour ahead of Jakarta throughout the year.

For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Both flight segments (Jakarta–Singapore and Singapore–Manila) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration
Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines
If your onward flight from Singapore to Manila is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
