Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board.

For flights between Male and Milan, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have an allowance of 35kg, and Business Class passengers have 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Male to Milan once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Male–Singapore and Singapore–Milan sectors, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for long flights. Premium Economy Class, when available on your sector, offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width for added space.

Business Class on the Airbus A350-900 features seats that convert into fully flat beds, with every seat providing direct aisle access. This allows you to rest more fully on the longer Singapore–Milan sector and arrive feeling more refreshed.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible travellers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and frequent flyer status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Male but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging, from themed gardens and quiet zones to family areas and art installations. With a longer layover, you can explore multiple terminals, enjoy a swim, or relax in dedicated rest areas.

If your layover is long enough, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, which typically requires several hours between flights to allow for immigration, travel time, and security on return. Airport information counters can advise whether your connection is suitable for this.

For shorter connections, staying airside is convenient, with many dining choices, shopping options, and spa or shower facilities available. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Male operates on Maldives Time (UTC+5) and does not observe daylight saving time. Milan follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter, typically from late October to late March, making Milan 4 hours behind Male. In summer, Milan switches to Central European Summer Time (UTC+2), usually from late March to late October, making it 3 hours behind Male.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Milan when flying from Male via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Male–Singapore and Singapore–Milan) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Milan is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
