Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, you can enjoy a variety of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board. Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Penang segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Seoul and Penang, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on board once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on the Singapore Airlines-operated sectors between Seoul and Penang. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Seoul to Singapore sector, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of around 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on both the Boeing 787-10 and the Airbus A350-900.

On the Singapore to Penang sector, Economy Class also offers a pitch of around 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, and Business Class features seats that convert to a fully flat bed on the Boeing 737-8 MAX. This ensures a consistent level of comfort in your chosen cabin across both flights.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can take advantage of extensive airside facilities, including themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and family zones. For longer connections, you may be able to join an official transit tour of the city when available, usually requiring a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours.

If you prefer to stay in the terminal, you will find showers, nap areas, and comfortable seating throughout the airport, along with a range of dining and shopping options. Airport hotels and rest facilities are also available for added privacy and rest. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Yes, at Seoul Incheon (ICN), eligible Singapore Airlines passengers can relax in the SilverKris Lounge before their flight to Singapore. Access is determined by your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status associated with the departing flight.

Economy Class passengers with eligible KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status may access designated lounges during their layover in Singapore, subject to the conditions of their membership tier. If you are not eligible through status, you may consider pay-per-use lounges in the terminal for added comfort between flights.

Seoul follows Korea Standard Time (UTC+9) and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8), also without daylight saving time. This means Penang is 1 hour behind Seoul throughout the year.

For flights from Seoul to Penang via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Seoul Incheon Airport at least 3 hours before departure. This allows time for check-in, baggage drop, security, and immigration, as well as a relaxed visit to the departure area or lounge before boarding.
