Beverage Service
Throughout your flights, you can enjoy a range of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, giving you a distinctive taste of our heritage while you travel.

For flights between Taipei and Kathmandu, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are as follows: Economy Class guests have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class guests enjoy 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class customers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your specific ticket will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members are entitled to additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei to Singapore sector, operated by the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-10, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

On the Singapore to Kathmandu sector, flown by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class also features around 32 inches of pitch and up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class offers spacious seats that convert into fully flat beds, giving you extra comfort on this medium-haul flight.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and a wide choice of dining and shopping without leaving the terminal. For longer layovers, you may join an official free city transit tour if you meet the minimum connection time and entry requirements. Shorter transits are well spent exploring the airports attractions, such as indoor gardens and relaxation zones. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

In Taipei (TPE), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may relax in the SilverKris Lounge before departure. During your layover in Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Lounge access is always subject to the conditions of your ticket and membership tier.

Taipei follows Asia/Taipei time, which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Kathmandu follows Asia/Kathmandu time, which is UTC+5:45 and also does not use daylight saving time. This means Kathmandu is 2 hours 15 minutes behind Taipei throughout the year.

We recommend arriving at Taipei Taoyuan Airport at least 2.5 to 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore, as you will be connecting onwards to Kathmandu. This gives you enough time for check-in, security, and immigration, and to plan for any peak-time queues.

If your Taipei to Singapore and Singapore to Kathmandu flights are booked on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will usually check your bags through to Kathmandu. You should still confirm the final tagged destination on your baggage receipt at check-in in Taipei.

Visa and entry requirements for Nepal depend on your nationality and travel purpose. As regulations can change, we recommend checking with the nearest Nepali diplomatic mission or an official government website before you travel, and allowing enough time to prepare any required documents.

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will clear immigration, collect checked baggage, and pass customs before exiting to the arrivals hall.
