1. Are there any fees associated with joining or maintaining a KrisFlyer membership for New Zealand residents?
No, KrisFlyer membership is free.
2. Who can become a KrisFlyer member?
Anyone two years of age or above can join KrisFlyer.
3. How do I login to KrisFlyer?
You can login to your KrisFlyer account here, using your registered email address or KrisFlyer number and your password.
4. Can I use KrisFlyer miles for domestic travel within New Zealand?

5. Can I earn Airpoints instead of KrisFlyer miles on a Singapore Airlines flight?
Yes, Airpoints members can earn Airpoints on eligible Singapore Airlines flights. Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines are Star Alliance members, so customers enjoy reciprocal frequent flyer benefits, such as earning and spending loyalty points and lounge access. Find out more.
6. Can I still get free Wi-Fi on Singapore Airlines flights if I choose to accrue Airpoints instead of KrisFlyer miles?
Yes, Singapore Airlines allows passengers to add two frequent flyer numbers to a booking-one for crediting miles, and the other for travel benefits, such as unlocking free Wi-Fi onboard. You can use 2 different methods to achieve this:
1) Before your flight contact Singapore Airlines on +64 9 282 0352 (24 hours daily, 7 days a week), then ask them to put the programme you want to earn miles in (e.g., Airpoints) in the FQTV field. Next ask them to put your KrisFlyer number in the FQTS field. You will now be able to earn points in one programme and enjoy free Wi-Fi as a KrisFlyer member.
2) During the online check-in process when you reach the section about frequent flyer details, add your KrisFlyer number first. Then tick the box ‘I want to earn miles on another frequent flyer programme’ and enter the details of that programme. You will now be able to earn points in one programme and enjoy free Wi-Fi as a KrisFlyer member. Note if your first flight is on Air New Zealand or another carrier you’ll have to call before your flight as in method one.
7. Can I transfer Airpoints to KrisFlyer miles?
No, you cannot transfer Airpoints Dollars to KrisFlyer miles. Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines have an alliance agreement, but this does not extend to allowing transfers of frequent flyer points or miles between the two programmes.
8. How do I find my KrisFlyer membership number?
Please go to Log-in Help and use the KrisFlyer number search option. You will have to key in your first name, last name, date of birth and the email address you have registered with your KrisFlyer account. You will also need to provide the correct answer to the security question you had previously selected. When the correct information has been provided, your KrisFlyer number will be emailed to you. 9. Can I pick up items purchased on KrisShop on my flight?
Yes, when you shop on KrisShop.com, you have the option to enjoy duty-free prices by opting for inflight collection on your upcoming Singapore Airlines flight. Please note that the principal KrisFlyer member whose miles are used for the transaction must be physically present to collect the items onboard. Shop here.
10. Can I have a KrisFlyer account for myself and for my family?

11. Will my KrisFlyer account expire?
Your KrisFlyer account will remain valid for 39 months from the end of the month of your last earning transaction. Your account will also expire if you do not make a qualifying transaction within 18 months of your enrolment as a KrisFlyer member.
12. How do I calculate how many KrisFlyer miles I can earn and redeem?
You can use the 'Miles Calculator' to find out how many KrisFlyer miles you could earn on your next Singapore Airlines flight, or how many you'd need to redeem or upgrade a flight.

13. What is the difference between KrisFlyer and Elite Miles?
KrisFlyer miles are earned through both flight and non-flight related activities and can be used for the redemption of award flights and upgrades, among many other options.
Elite miles can only be earned when flying with Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Star Alliance and other partner airlines. These miles count towards Elite Silver and Elite Gold tier qualification. Similar to PPS Value, they are not redeemable for award flights, upgrade awards or purchase of airfares.
