For flights between Delhi and Penang, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class offers 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and Suites 50kg of checked baggage, with each bag not exceeding 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and Suites guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is always indicated on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Delhi to Penang once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, with Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members needing to add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans, which are suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but not for video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Delhi–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Premium Economy Class on Airbus A380-800 services provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20 inches of width. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Delhi but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

In Singapore, eligible customers may be invited to relax in the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge during their layover.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you have the option to join the official free transit tour if your connection meets the minimum time requirement, typically around 5.5 to 6 hours. This guided experience lets you see highlights of the city before returning comfortably to the airport.

If your layover is shorter, staying airside is very relaxing, with themed gardens, rest zones, children’s play areas, and in selected terminals, facilities such as swimming pools or cinemas. You can also enjoy a wide variety of dining and shopping close to your gate.

Delhi operates on India Standard Time (UTC+5:30) all year, with no daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8:00), also without daylight saving. Penang is therefore 2.5 hours ahead of Delhi throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Delhi, it is 2.30pm in Penang.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Penang International Airport when flying from Delhi via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Delhi–Singapore and Singapore–Penang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Penang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
