Throughout the journey, a selection of hot and cold drinks is available, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. You can also enjoy our signature Singapore Sling on board, along with a considered range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

For Colombo to Zurich flights, our weight-concept policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers may check 35kg, Business Class passengers 40kg, and First Class passengers 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Colombo to Zurich once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi access is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Between Colombo and Singapore, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible passengers departing Singapore may have access to The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore Changi Airport, longer layovers can be spent on the official city tour, which usually requires at least about 5.5 to 6 hours between flights to join comfortably. This gives you a glimpse of the city before returning to the airport for your onward journey.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy Changi Airport's gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly facilities, or visit viewing galleries and themed zones across the terminals. Selected terminals also offer showers and transit hotels where you can rest between flights.

Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Zurich follows Central European Time, which is UTC+1 in late autumn and winter (approximately late October to late March), and Central European Summer Time, UTC+2, in spring and summer (approximately late March to late October). This means Zurich is usually 3.5 hours behind Colombo in winter and 3.5 or 4.5 hours behind in summer, depending on the time of year.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Zurich is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
