For flights between Jakarta and Chennai, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines services from Jakarta to Chennai once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Jakarta but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their class of travel and membership status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for both short and longer layovers. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy indoor gardens, rest areas, entertainment zones, and a wide variety of dining and shopping options without leaving the terminal.
