For flights between Jakarta and Hyderabad, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite/Value fares: 25kg; Standard/Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Jakarta to Hyderabad once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Jakarta–Singapore and Singapore–Hyderabad sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Jakarta but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may use lounges such as The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining the official free city tour, which typically requires a minimum transit time of around 5.5 to 6 hours. This offers a convenient way to see key highlights without organising your own transport.

For shorter layovers, staying airside at Changi Airport is comfortable and enjoyable, with themed gardens, quiet rest areas, children’s play zones, and in selected terminals, attractions such as cinema spaces and indoor slides. There are also numerous dining options where you can sample regional and international flavours.

If you prefer to rest, look for airport hotels or nap facilities within the terminal complex, allowing you to freshen up between flights without leaving the airport. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Jakarta operates on Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7 and does not observe daylight saving time. Hyderabad follows India Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Hyderabad is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes behind Jakarta throughout the year.
