Extension of KrisFlyer Elite membership, KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards and KrisFlyer miles

 

In view of the Covid-19 outbreak, we understand there will be uncertainty in our members’ travel plans in the months ahead.

 

In appreciation for our members’ loyalty, we will be:

  • Extending KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Gold membership for one membership year for tier renewal cycle from March 2020 through to February 2021.
  • Extending KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards (previously known as Elite Gold Rewards) that will be expiring between July 2020 and September 2021 to be valid till 31 December 2021
  • Extending KrisFlyer miles that will be expiring between January and June 2021 by six months.
  • Renewing KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Gold membership for an additional 12 months at the end of membership year due between March 2021 and February 2022 [NEW]
  • Rolling over Elite miles earned to the next membership year (with membership start date from March 2021 to February 2022) [NEW]

Renewal of KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Gold membership (From March 2020 – February 2021)

 
  1. I am currently a KrisFlyer Elite Silver / Elite Gold member. Will my membership be renewed if I do not accrue 25,000 Elite miles / 50,000 Elite miles in my current membership year?

    Your KrisFlyer Elite Silver / Elite Gold membership will be renewed for another year. This applies to members with membership year ending in March 2020 through to February 2021.

    Upon the date of membership renewal, your Elite miles will be reset to zero to indicate the start of the new membership cycle.
  2. Is there any prior registration required, before my membership will be renewed for another year?

    Your Elite Silver/ Elite Gold membership will be automatically renewed on the date based on your membership expiry month, as stated in Table 1 below.
  3. When will the renewal of my Elite membership take place?

  4. I have successfully accrued sufficient Elite miles to renew my current membership tier on my own. Will I now get an extra year of membership in my current tier?

    As you have already successfully accrued the required Elite miles to renew your membership in your current tier, you will automatically requalify for another year of membership on your own merit. There will not be an extra year of membership. We will continue to monitor the evolving Covid-19 situation and review the measures necessary to provide support for our members where relevant.
  5. I have successfully obtained sufficient Elite miles to renew my current membership tier. Will I get any assistance to upgrade from my current tier to the next higher tier?

    This initiative is to assist members to renew their KrisFlyer Elite Silver/ Elite Gold membership status. We will continue to monitor the evolving Covid-19 situation and review the measures necessary to provide support for our members.
  6. When will I get my new membership kit / membership card for my new membership cycle?

    The Covid-19 outbreak has disrupted our supply chain card production and postal mail delivery service. We apologise that there will be a delay, potentially up to 16 – 20 weeks, before you will receive your new membership kit. This applies to members whose renewal dates fall within the immediate few months and is subject to further development of the Covid-19 situation. In the interim, you can enjoy your tier privileges through your digital card on the SingaporeAir mobile app.

Extension of KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Gold membership (From March 2021 – February 2022) [NEW]

 
Renewal Support Scheme
  1. As a KrisFlyer Elite member, what support will I get from the updated Membership Renewal Support Scheme?
    • Your KrisFlyer Elite Silver / Elite Gold membership will be automatically extended for another year. This applies to members with membership end-date from March 2021 to February 2022.
    • The updated Renewal Support Scheme will supersede the earlier initiative announced on 1 September 2020, where 50% of the required Elite miles will be credited to your KrisFlyer account to assist with KrisFlyer Elite membership renewal from March 2021 to February 2022. As such, 50% of the required Elite miles for renewal will be no longer be credited to your KrisFlyer account.
  2. Do I need to do anything to qualify for the updated Membership Renewal Support Scheme?

    All KrisFlyer Elite members will have their membership in their current tier automatically extended at the end of their membership year due between March 2021 and February 2022. No action will be required from you.

Extension of Expiring KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards

 
  1. Which KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards are eligible for extension?

    The following KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards will be valid till 31 December 2021, if expiring between July 2020 and December 2020 or issued in 2020:
    • Double KrisFlyer Miles Reward
    • Short-haul Advance Upgrade
    • Premium Economy Advance Upgrade
  2. I logged into my account and noticed that my eligible KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards were not extended.

    The extended validity of your eligible KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards will be reflected in your account progressively before your rewards expire, by 31 December 2020. Please log in here to view if you have KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards.
  3. Can I extend the validity of the extended KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards for use beyond 31 December 2021?

    KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards may be used on flights departing after 31 December 2021, as long as the Rewards are applied on or before 31 December 2021. Please use your KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards by 31 December 2021.

    KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards that have expired cannot be extended further.
  4. I had applied my Double KrisFlyer Miles Reward on my booking. I would like to convert my ticket to a flight credit. What should I do?

    Please cancel your Double KrisFlyer Miles Reward in Manage Booking before submitting your request through our online Assistance Request form to convert your ticket to a flight credit. Your Reward will be redeposited into your account if it has not passed its validity date, and will be made available for your next eligible booking. Your Reward will be extended and valid till 31 December 2021. It may take up to 4 weeks for the extended validity to be reflected in your account.

  5. I had applied my Short-haul Advance Upgrade / Premium Economy Advance Upgrade Reward on my booking which has now been converted to a flight credit. Will the Reward be redeposited into my account?

    Please contact KrisFlyer Membership Services to redeposit your eligible KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards. Your Short-haul Advance Upgrade / Premium Economy Advance Upgrade Reward will be redeposited into your account, and will be made available for your next eligible booking. Your Reward will be extended and will be valid till 31 December 2021.

  6. I had applied my Double KrisFlyer Miles Reward on my booking, which has now been refunded. The status of the reward is still showing as Applied. What should I do?

    If your refunded booking meets the eligibility criteria for our updated global travel waiver policy, please contact KrisFlyer Membership Services to have your reward reinstated. Your reward will be extended and will be valid till 31 December 2021, for your next eligible booking.
  7. I am unable to view my eligible KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards, after my tier was changed to Elite Silver. What should I do?

    Please contact KrisFlyer Membership Services for details of your KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards.

Extension of Expiring KrisFlyer Miles (From January 2021 – June 2021)

 
  1. Which expiring KrisFlyer Miles are eligible for extension?

    KrisFlyer miles expiring between January and June 2021 will be extended by six months and will be valid till July 2021 and December 2021 respectively.
  2. I have paid service fees to extend my miles previously. Are these miles eligible for extension?

    Yes, all miles that have been extended previously will be eligible.
  3. I logged into my account and noticed that my expiring KrisFlyer Miles have not been extended.

    The extended validity of your expiring KrisFlyer miles will be reflected in your account progressively, at the end of each month, before the miles expire. For example, if you have miles expiring on 31 January 2021, you will be able to see that the miles have been extended and are valid till 31 July 2021 in February 2021.   4. My miles that were expiring between July and December 2020 were previously extended and will be expiring between January and June 2021. Are these miles eligible for further extension?

    Yes, all miles that have been extended previously will be eligible. These miles will be further extended for another 6 months and will now expire between July and December 2021 respectively.
  5. Can I extend the validity of the extended KrisFlyer miles for use beyond the new expiry month?

    Yes, the extended KrisFlyer miles can be further extended beyond the new expiry month. The miles extension fees will apply for such requests, via payment using miles or a nominal service fee. For KrisFlyer members, you may extend the miles for a further 6 months beyond the new expiry date while KrisFlyer Elite-tiered members may extend it for a further 12 months.   7. How can I view the extended validity of my KrisFlyer miles?

    You can log in to your KrisFlyer profile on singaporeair.com or the SingaporeAir mobile app and click on Miles > Miles Validity. There will be a monthly breakdown of your miles expiring in the next 12 months.

    At the end of each month, you will be able to see 2 transactions in your account statement. The first transaction will show expiring miles being debited from your account with the description "Singapore Airlines SR (Adjustment) 6 months mileage extension". The second transaction will show the same number of expiring miles being credited back into your account with the description "Singapore Airlines SR 6 months mileage extension".
  8. I have miles that have been extended to expire in June 2021. As I would like to use the miles for a flight redemption, must my flight redemption also be completed by end June 2021?

    You will need to redeem your miles and ensure that the redemption booking is successfully ticketed on or before 30 June 2021. Your travel date may be after June 2021.
  9. I have miles expiring in July 2021 and beyond. Will these upcoming expiring miles be extended as well?

    As the situation remains fluid, we will continue to monitor and review this closer to date.

Rolling over Elite miles earned to the next membership year (with membership start date from March 2021 – February 2022) [NEW]

 
  1. How will this initiative benefit me as a KrisFlyer Elite Silver or Elite Gold member? When will the rolled over Elite miles be available in my account in my new membership year?
    • Any Elite miles earned through air and non-air accruals during the qualification cycle will also be carried forward after your membership year has been extended
    • Your Elite miles will first be reset to zero upon membership extension and re-credited to you within two months from the start of your new membership cycle.
    • Each KrisFlyer Elite member will be eligible for a one-time re-crediting of Elite miles
    • Only Elite miles accrued within your KrisFlyer Elite membership year (with membership start date between 1 March 2020 and 1 March 2021) will be re-credited.
    • KrisFlyer Elite Silver members who are upgraded to KrisFlyer Elite Gold tier before their KrisFlyer Elite Silver membership end-date will also be eligible for a one-time re-credit of Elite miles within two months of the upgrade date.
    • Members who upgraded from KrisFlyer Elite Silver to KrisFlyer Elite Gold after 1 March 2021 from any status match programmes or accelerator campaigns will not be eligible for the rolling of Elite miles

Renewal Support Scheme Terms & Conditions

 
  1. These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the KrisFlyer Renewal Support Scheme (“Renewal Support Scheme”), organised by Singapore Airlines Limited ("SIA"), to help PPS Club members and Elite members requalify for their tier statuses in the following year.
  2. All KrisFlyer members who are PPS Club members or Elite members as of 8 September 2020 automatically qualify for this Renewal Support Scheme.
  3. All decisions made by SIA in respect to any matter relating to this Renewal Support Scheme shall be final. SIA reserves the right to vary these T&Cs, terminate or otherwise amend this Campaign without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion. SIA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participating KrisFlyer members.
  4. All initiatives under Renewal Support Scheme will be subject to the KrisFlyer Terms & Conditions at (https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/).
  5. By participating in the Renewal Support Scheme, each participant agrees that any and all personal data he/she submits (including his/her name, KrisFlyer membership number, and email address) may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed (collectively, “Processed”) by SIA. All collection, use and disclosure of participant’s personal data will be in accordance with SIA’s Privacy Policy (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/privacy-policy/).
  6. SIA will not be responsible for any consequences that any participant may suffer (including without limitation any damage, loss, injury or disappointment), or that results in an infringement of any law or regulation, by participating in this Renewal Support Scheme.
  7. By participating in this Renewal Support Scheme, each participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these T&Cs, and conditions of carriage, SIA’s Privacy Policy and KrisFlyer Terms and Conditions (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/) (collectively, "SIA Terms & Conditions"). Non-compliance with or breach of any of these SIA Terms and Conditions may result in the KrisFlyer member being disqualified at any stage of this Campaign.
